OCR: to Jackie's suite to watch a championship boxing match. He's a major fan, and during the fight, he got right up and threw punches at the screen as if he were in the ring with the fighters. When the fight was over, he started working the telephone (which he seemed to do constantly) and I left. Late in the afternoon, all of us went over to the newly refurbished Showboat Hotel because Jackie wanted to check it out. We soon found ourselves in the coffee shop around a table of "comped" food. I decided this would be a good time for an interview, so I pulled out my pocket tape recorder. This was my first attempt at one of these Q & A's, and I really hadn't yet formulated a standard set of questions. However, a very good friend of mine who's married to a comedian suggested that I would get an interesting response if I asked every comedian how they felt MENU
